Ten Stocks You Can Be "Proud to Own"

On today's show, Jay Peroni, CFP, talks about what it means to be a Faith Based Investor. Jay covers a host of financial and economic questions such as:

1.  Are we heading into a double dip recession?

2.  Why did the "fear index" (VIX) drop so rapidly?

3.  What is the magic GDP growth number we need to get people working again?

4.  What is "the question" you need to ask before ever investing a dime?

5. What are some examples of "proud to own" companies (investments that are in line with Christian values and have good upside potential)?

I completely agree with Jay Peroni's analysis of mutual fund costs and have personally avoided these funds for several years now.  But his stock pick metrics may need some "moral" tuning.  For example, Salesforce (CRM) has used non-GAAP methods in its last two quarterly reports, suggesting it may be fraudulently misstating earnings.  "Highly profitable" – who is he kidding.  Has he not noticed that CRM's earnings have declined for five straight quarters and are now in negative territory?
I have been shorting CRM for several months.  With CRM on his recommended stock list, all his picks are questionable and makes me wonder where he is getting his information and whose interest he is representing.
