The “Real” State of the Union + When Technology Fails

On this week’s program, a shocking new report from the Congressional Budget Office claims that this year’s budget deficit will reach a record-breaking $1.5 trillion. How will Washington respond? Plus, the verdict is in on the Financial Crisis. The Commission charged with discovering the real root causes has just released its findings. Who’s to blame? We will explain. And, the Wall Street Journal reported this week that the number of church buildings being foreclosed is on the rise. Are church foreclosures becoming a new trend? I’ll provide my commentary. And, President Barack Obama gave his State of the Union address this week. But we were not impressed. We’ll tell you why.

Plus, in this week’s special interview, I’ll be joined by best-selling author, Matthew Stein. Matthew and I will discuss his highly informative and best-selling book, When Technology Fails. As always, I’ll provide my Weekly Market Report and I’ll be joined in a special interview with precious metals advisor Tom Cloud. What happened to gold and silver prices? Tom will share his insights in this week’s Precious Metals Market Update. And finally, in this week’s Financial Strategy segment, what would happen to your income if you were injured? Retirement Specialist John Bearss will be here to discuss why disability insurance should be considered for your financial gameplan…

We have a great program lined up for you today. So get ready as we have a lot to cover… You are listening to Follow the Money Weekly. The best hour in radio begins… right now!

I listen to about the first ten minutes of your broadcast then you hit on Social Security and referred to it is and entitlement…Now I am not sure in which context you are using the word entitlement, but you make it sound like a handout which is completely misleading since I have paid for my social security since 1958, it is an investment, it is not a handout…it is in fact my money…now if you think paying someone back for their investment is a handout then I see no reason to listen to your show as you obviously have no idea what you are talking about…

PS, however if you or the government would like to pay me back all of the money I have invested in social security system with 10% compound interest since 1958 in a lump sum, I would accept that as paid in full…

      Hi Rick,

Thanks for your comments and your passion. I understand your frustration. I believe that we need Social Security Reform. You are right. You are “entitled” to your money. But the government obviously mishandled your contributions to the system and will continue to do so until something it changed. Keep listening. I think you will see that we agree on more than you may realize.

I discovered your site a few weeks ago following Rich Dad. Robert gave an interview on here, and then over Christmas you replayed your interview with the guy that wrote Creature from Jekyll Island. I have been hooked on your show ever since. Every Monday or Tuesday I log onto your website and listen to your weekly show. I think it is wonderful what you are doing with this show and I look forward every week to the new information or insights that you provide. Thank-you.

Maybe you can help me here , I don't have a lot of money being unemployed and there are a few flea markets around my home that are selling silver dollars dated 1924 and back for $30.00 a piece and I was wondering if this is a good price and should I buy? If possible could you also let me know as to what date the coins stoped using all silver in them. On another note I listen to your show and I do appriecate it and all that you do for the people. Thank You
